Lightweight stability. Softer cushioning. More bounce. The GT-2000 15 brings a more energetic feel to one of ASICS' most trusted stability running platforms.
The ASICS GT-2000 15 Women's is a high-cushion stability running shoe designed for runners who want reliable guidance and support without the heavier, more restrictive feel associated with traditional stability shoes.
The biggest change for this generation is the combination of a softer FF BLAST MAX midsole, an additional 2mm of foam and ASICS' 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM. The result is a shoe that feels more cushioned and energetic while continuing to provide adaptive support for runners who experience overpronation.
At approximately 221g in the women's reference size, with an 8mm heel-to-toe drop and a 3729mm stack height, the GT-2000 15 is notably light for a stability trainer.
It is built for everyday road running, long-distance training, walking and faster training sessions where you want stability without giving up responsiveness.

The GT-2000 has been a cornerstone of ASICS' stability running range for many years. The GT-2000 15 continues that role but moves the shoe towards a lighter, softer and more energetic stability experience.
The important distinction is that the GT-2000 15 does not attempt to force the foot into a rigid correction.
Instead, ASICS uses geometry and controlled deformation through the 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM to provide support progressively through the gait cycle.
This makes the GT-2000 15 particularly attractive to runners who need stability but dislike the sensation of a heavily structured stability shoe.
The centrepiece of the GT-2000 15's support system is the 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM.
Rather than relying on a traditional rigid medial post, the system uses the geometry of the platform and controlled deformation to provide adaptive, on-demand stability.
The idea is simple: the shoe provides more guidance when your foot needs it while allowing a more natural movement when it doesn't.
This is one of the reasons the GT-2000 15 can feel more like a conventional performance trainer than an old-school stability shoe.
The GT-2000 15 receives a significant cushioning upgrade with a reformulated FF BLAST MAX midsole.
ASICS has made the formulation softer and added approximately 2mm of additional foam compared with the previous generation.
The objective is to give stability runners more cushioning and energy return without sacrificing the controlled platform that defines the GT-2000.
The GT-2000 15 therefore sits in an interesting position: it provides stability, but the ride is no longer defined purely by control and support.
There is now considerably more emphasis on energy and enjoyment.
ASICS has retained PureGEL technology in the rearfoot to help manage impact during landing.
The updated PureGEL formulation is designed to provide softer shock absorption while remaining unobtrusive within the overall midsole construction.
This works with the FF BLAST MAX foam rather than replacing it. The foam provides the primary cushioning and energy return, while PureGEL contributes additional impact attenuation around the rearfoot.
The GT-2000 15 also incorporates a trampoline-inspired forefoot pod.
This construction is designed to increase energy return during toe-off and complements the responsive characteristics of FF BLAST MAX.
It is an important change in the character of the GT-2000.
The shoe is still a stability trainer, but it is now capable of producing a noticeably more energetic transition through the forefoot.

The GT-2000 15 remains more controlled than the NOVABLAST or MEGABLAST, but it is substantially more energetic than the traditional stability-trainer stereotype suggests.
The GT-2000 15 is particularly well suited to runners who need moderate stability without wanting a heavy maximum-support shoe.
