These highly recommended running shoes are 'absolutely as new' and were only tried on once for about 20 minutes but found to be too small. The comparable UK or South African women's shoe size would probably be about size 4.

The Asics Gel 1140 is the newest edition to the 1000 series which has just gone lighter. The Asics Gel 1140 has been design for mild over-pronators who run long distances, particularly 10k and marathon as well as roads and treadmills.
Great for runners at every level, the Asics Gel 1140 women's shoe is lightweight and responsive, with a breathable mesh upper and SpEVA(r) technology, which attenuates shock on impact. The Trusstic System(r) links the rearfoot and the forefoot for a smooth, fluid ride.
The GEL-1140 continues the tradition of delivering fantastic value for money. This shoe is the first port of call for those who are getting serious about their running. Full SpEVA midsole for a great comfort feel under foot. Visible rearfoot GEL and forefoot GEL add to the cushioning properties. The ride of the shoe is reinforced by the use of Trusstic and DuoMax Midfoot to help with over-pronation. The upper uses a breathable single mesh for comfort and ventilation.
