ASTERIX AND OBELIX MY 23 BOOK COLLECTION UP FOR AUCTION

ON AUCTION IS MY 23 BOOK COLLECTION OF ASTERIX AND OBELIX BOOKS. MOST ARE FROM BEFORE 1977 WHEN GOSCINNY AND UDERZO DID THE STORIES AND ILLUSTRATIONS. THERE ARE ALSO 2 COLLECTION VOLUMES ONE THE HARDCOVER FANTASTIC ASTERIX WITH 6 ADVENTURES AND THE OTHER A SOFT COVER OMNIBUS WITH 3 ADVENTURES.

ASTERIX AND BOOKS:
Asterix is the comic book creation of Rene Goscinny (stories) and Albert Uderzo (illustrations). In 1961 the first book titled Asterix the Gaul was published. From then on books were released generally on a yearly basis.
When Goscinny died in 1977, Uderzo continued the series but on a less frequent basis. Many critics and fans still prefer the earlier 24 book collaborations with Goscinny.

Numbers 1-24, 32 and 34 are by Goscinny and Uderzo. Numbers 25-31 and 33 are by Uderzo alone. Numbers 35 is by Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad. Years stated are for their initial album release.
