The following is our guidelines for sizing of the heat pump for use with outdoor in full sun:

• Recommended use in South Africa, only during 9 warmest months of the year:

  • COMFORT HP35 for up to 35 000L
  • COMFORT HP40 for up to 40 000L

Operating range:

• Ambient temperature: - 7°C to 43°C
  
• Water temperature: 9 to 40
• Water Flow Volume (Cubic Meter per Hour): 3 (HP20) / 5.3 (HP35) / 6 (HP40)

Installation:

• Always cover the pool with a pool blanket or solar cover when not in use
• Do not place the heat pump in an enclosed area with a limited air volume, where the units discharge air will be re-circulated
• Keep the heat pump away from plant which can block the air inlets. Not allowing the unit enough fresh air will result in reduced performance and efficiency
  
• It is always best to install heat pumps in full sun for maximum effectiveness
