At 202 × 120 × 49mm and 2.5 slots, the ASUS Dual RX 9060 XT 16G is a genuinely compact graphics card shorter than most ITX cards from previous generations and easily the smallest GPU in our current range. The Dual is designed specifically for builders who want powerful RDNA 4 gaming in a compact form factor, with broad case compatibility as a primary design constraint. The silicon underneath is unchanged from the larger RX 9060 XT models: AMD's 6nm Navi 33 RDNA 4 die at 2048 stream processors, 32 compute units, 2nd-generation AI accelerators, and 3rd-generation RT hardware. The factory OC pushes the boost clock to 3250 MHz in OC mode via GPU Tweak III, with a game clock of 2640 MHz both well above AMD's reference figures, delivered from a dual-fan card at sub-200mm length. FSR 4, HYPR-RX, Fluid Motion Frames, Anti-Lag 2, hardware AV1 encoding, and AMD Smart Access Memory are all fully supported.
ASUS designs the Dual's heatsink, shroud, and heatpipe layout specifically to leverage chassis side-panel ventilation for thermal performance beyond what the compact cooler size alone would suggest a 2.5-slot dual-fan card in a well-ventilated mid-tower will run cooler than the same card in a sealed mini-ITX box. Both Axial-tech fans use a smaller hub to maximise blade length, with a barrier ring on each fan increasing downward air pressure into the heatsink. All fans stop completely when GPU temperature drops below 55°C for silent idle and light-load operation a meaningful quality-of-life feature at this price point. GPU Tweak III handles fan curve adjustment, OC mode toggling, and real-time monitoring.
The 16GB GDDR6 frame buffer at 20 Gbps on a 128-bit bus gives this card the VRAM headroom that the standard RX 7600 8GB sorely lacks future-proofing 1080p gaming and enabling comfortable 1440p use in most titles. PCIe 5.0 x16 ensures full platform compatibility with AM5 and Intel platforms. Display output covers 1× HDMI 2.1b and 2× DisplayPort 2.1a a maximum of three simultaneous displays. A single 8-pin PCIe connector keeps cabling minimal with a 450W PSU recommendation the most power-efficient setup of any card in our RX 9060 XT range.
3 displays only: The Dual RX 9060 XT supports a maximum of 3 simultaneous displays not 4. Plan your multi-monitor setup accordingly.
No RGB, no Dual BIOS: The Dual carries no onboard lighting and no BIOS mode switch. If either is a requirement, consider the TUF Gaming or Prime variants.
Dual-fan vs triple-fan: The compact dual-fan design runs warmer than triple-fan alternatives under sustained load, particularly in poorly ventilated cases. Ensure your case has adequate side-panel and front panel airflow for best thermal results.
128-bit memory bus: Despite the 16GB VRAM, the 128-bit bus limits raw bandwidth. This card is optimised for 1080p and capable at 1440p it is not a 4K card.
