The AS12series NAS (such as the AS1202/1204) is a compact, familyoriented 2bay unit built around the Realtek RTD1619B 1.7 GHz ARM64 quadcore processor and 1 GB DDR4 RAM, with 8 GB eMMC flash storage and support for 3.5 SATA HDDs. It offers 2.5Gigabit Ethernet (2.5G/1G/100M), three USB 5 Gbps ports (one front, two rear), and Btrfsbased snapshots for efficient local snapshots and data protection, making it wellsuited for home media, backups, and lightduty server roles. The platform emphasizes security and futureproofing via ADM 5.1+ with postquantum cryptography (PQC), using the NISTcertified Kyberbased hybrid TLS (X25519 + MLKEM 768) over TLS 1.3; as long as the web browser supports PQC, ADM automatically establishes a postquantumsecured connection, clearly marked in the interface to defend against "Harvest Now, Decrypt Later" attacks on stored data. Together with low operation power (~11.6 W), quiet cooling (~18.6 dB idle), and 3year warranty, the AS12 series is positioned as an energyefficient, easytouse home NAS with strong security and expandable storage (up to 14 bays with expansion units).
