Attractive Boxed Victorian Silver-Plated Fish Servers
This lovely, antique, silver-plated fish serving knife and fork set have been beautifully engraved. The knife blade is very detailed with flowers and a large rose. The carved handles have a grain and appear to be bone or ivory. Both pieces have plated hallmarks with the stamp 'BB' for the 'Briddon Brothers', who operated out of Sheffield, England between 1863 and 1910. The pair came with their original fitted, red velvet and silk lined hinged case. They are in excellent condition and appear to have been hardly used. Other than the case not clicking shut, it's in good condition. The length of the knife is 31cm and fork is 23cm. The box measures 36cm x12cm.
