This cable tester is specially made for testing the electrical continuity of audio cables. This tester is user friendly, compact and robust.
Diffirent LEDs are used to indicate the continuity of each electric connection within an audio cable. One 6-position rotary switch is used for selecting each connection that is to be tested, one connection at a time. The red LED will shine when there is a short circuit between the connection that is being tested and the ground / chassis connection. The following cable connectors can be connected to the tester: 4mm banana plug (2 plugs), 6.35 stereo jack plug (2 plugs), 5-pin 180 degrees DIN (2 plugs), phono / RCA (2 plugs), balanced XLR (1 plug and 1 socket), Speakon loudspeaker connector (2 plugs). Battery check function to test the strength of the internal battery.
