This is the second version of the standard Australian 5 Cent Echidna coin displaying the Raphael David Makleouf 3rd portrait of the Queen. Although initially minted in 1985 in the Year Proof and Uncirculated Sets it was not released into circulation until the 1987 issue.

In 1999 the RAM updated the standard Echidna (Spiny Anteater) 5 cent coin with the Ian Rank Broadley 4th Portrait of the Queen on the Obverse.
Condition: (VF-20) Very Fine - Moderately worn, with some finer details remaining. All letters of LIBERTY, (if present,) should be readable. Full, clean rims.
