Presenting a beautiful, authentic 1920s - 1930s Art Deco 3 - piece mayonnaise/condiment Lotus flower-shaped bowl, saucer and matching spoon set by Noritake, featuring the highly collectable "Komaru" backstamp, with a vibrant yellow lustre glaze, a scalloped Lotus Leaf-Shaped profile, a fine gold-gilded rim, and an interior hand-painted pattern showcasing poppies and ponies.

3) Original hooked porcelain ladle spoon (Very rare to find intact)
Marks:
Authentic Vintage Noritake "Komaru" (Often referred to as the "Spider" or "Spoke" mark.) The specific green variation featuring the word "Noritake" over a Laurell Wreathed circular cross, with "MADE IN JAPAN" underneath, dates from 1921 to 1937.
The "Komaru" Icon (often called the Maruki mark) is one of Noritake's oldest and most historically significant backstamp, featuring a styled Japan character inside a circle. The symbol inside the wreath representing the meaning. "difficulty" or "breaking through obstacles. The circle encompassing the symbol representing a peaceful settlement of problems, reflecting the founder, philosophy on maintaining business balance. It was adopted by the Morimura family Noritake's founders.
