Authentic hand crafted solid silver clad Omani Khanjar & scabbard with belt. The previous owner of the Khanjar bought it from a tribal elder in Oman - it however most probably dates to the 1960/70s. The khanjar has the typical curved Middle Eastern blade as has the scabbard. The dagger has a metal blade, and has an intricately hand embossed sheet silver decoration at the bottom of the handle. The front of the scabbard is likewise decorated with embossed sheet silver. The belt is also adorned with silver wire and sheet metal decoration on a Middle Eastern cloth. The Khanjar is 30cm long and 16cm wide from the curvature. The belt is 85cm long. The silver has all been tested at around .900 purity. A truly lovely item for the collector.
