Razor sharp, fully functional
This handmade sword features full-tang construction and has a thick blade that is extremely sharp. The AISI high carbon steel blade (1065) is as sharp as a razor's edge. Quality sageo and ito braid decorate the handle and the Tsuba (guard) is constructed of a two-tone zinc alloy. This katana, with black saya, comes wrapped with a black sword bag and in a large tubular box covered in beautiful artwork. Overall Length: 111.7cm, Blade Length: 71cm.
No edged weapon in history has ever been surrounded with such mystique and tradition like the Japanese sword. During the period of Warring States (770-476 B.C.), a famous sword maker named Ou Yezi created the most renowned sword in Longquan. Since then, the secret arts of crafting swords have been passed down from generation to generation. Ryumon & Masahiro swords are hand forged by master craftsmen with years of experience from Longquan.
