Bid on this delightful pair of authentic Royal Doulton ceramics, featuring a square scalloped plate and a matching milk jug from the beloved 'Old Coaching Days' series, pattern number D3316.

These charming pieces beautifully capture the nostalgia of a bygone era, depicting intricate scenes of horse-drawn carriages and figures in period attire, all set against a warm, earthy palette of oranges and yellows, bordered by a classic dark green trim. The plate measures approximately 20cm x 20cm. The milk jug stands at a height of about 10.5cm, with a base diameter of 8.5cm and a total width (including the handle) of 10cm. While both items exhibit signs of their age, including some visible crazing on the plate (front and back) and two small chips on its rear rim (not visible from the front), alongside a hairline crack extending approximately three-quarters down the side of the milk jug and a small chip on its base rim (also not visible when displayed), the vibrant glazing remains remarkably strong with minor wear to the green trim on both.

Despite these small imperfections, which are typical for pieces of this vintage, they retain their decorative appeal and display beautifully as a cohesive pair. Perfect for the discerning collector or anyone looking to add a touch of classic English charm to their home.
