Authentic Samurai Jingasa Helmet

This item is an authentic Samurai Jingasa from the Edo Period and dated to between 1800-1849. I personally bought this item from a reputable antiques dealer in Osaka Japan. It is a treasure for any serious collector!

It is not refurbished and still bears the beautifully hand painted family mark in mint condition which is rare in items of this age. It has minor damage to the laquer on top of the helmet but this does not in any way detract from its character. There is no inner- cushion and the holding cord has been replaced.

Also please note that the item does not come with the stand :-)
