Authentic Vintage Chinese Handcrafted Silver and Agate Dragon Teapot / Flagon

In the next couple of weeks, we will be auctioning some beautiful collectable Chinese handcrafted pieces, sourced directly from rural China.

This specific piece is an ornamental miniature teapot. Although it has a cavity it will probably not hold liquid. The main body is made either of silver or some non-magnetic silver plated metal. On the lid, three frogs surround a lone guarding monkey and below them two dragons are depicted in cloisonne.* Rows of silver dragons adorn the spaces between the agate rings. With its beautiful detail it will make a great display piece!

*cloisonne - (for metals) having areas separated by thin strips of metal and filled with colored enamel and fired at high temperature.

Condition is good with no chips, cracks or missing pieces. The piece has a height of 13cm and the main body has a diameter of 7.5cm. It has not been cleaned.
