ON WINGS OF SONG: An Anne Ziegler and Webster Booth omnibus, by JEAN COLLEN & PAMELA DAVIES

The famous British duettists,  Anne Ziegler and Webster Booth, published their joint autobiography Duet in 1951. After Anne Ziegler’s death in 2003, Jean Collen, a former student and friend of the couple,  decided to write a personal memoir on her association with them. This memoir covers the 22 years the couple spent in South Africa (from 1956-1978) and their return to the UK.

Pamela Davies was writing a similar account of her association with them in the UK – as a fan in the forties, and later as a friend of Anne’s in the eighties. On Wings of Song book is an omnibus of both these stories. It includes a compilation of their engagements on radio, TV, stage and concert hall from 1924 to their deaths and is lavishly illustrated.
