Avonia alstonii

One of the most unusually attractive of the South African succulents in the Portulacaceae family.
Forms a caudex to 6 cm in diameter with numerous 2 cm long branches; leaves in rows covered with silvery stipules.
Flowers mostly white, sometimes pink.
Pictured here is a larger specimen plant approximately 6-8 years old.
