Awesome Batch of 12 Vintage 1990s Hard Plastic Dinosaurs Includes a 55cm Long Diplodocus Sauropod Dinosaur

A WONDERFUL BATCH OF 12 HARD PLASTIC DINOSAURS. THEY ARE VINTAGE MADE FROM THE 1990S.

STEGOSAURUS is a genus of herbivorous, four-legged, armored dinosaur from the Late Jurassic 150 million years ago, characterized by the distinctive kite-shaped upright plates along their backs and spikes on their tails. Stegosaurus is often called the dumbest dinosaur because of its incredibly small brain. Most scientists originally believed that its brain was too small to control such a large creature and that it used an auxiliary "brain" located above its rear legs to help control its movements.

DIPLODOCUS and Brontosaurus were both large dinosaurs but Diplodocus was longer and thinner than Brontosaurus. Diplodocus actually measured up to 53meters in length, making it significantly longer than Brontosaurus and the fourth largest dinosaur that ever lived on earth. It lived during the late Jurassic period, 154 to 150 million years ago. It is often thought to be the longest dinosaur species.

CAMARASAURUS was a genus of quadrupedal, herbivorous dinosaurs and is the most common North American sauropod fossil. Its fossil remains have been found in the Morrison Formation, dating to the Late Jurassic epoch, between 155 and 145 million years ago. Although Camarasaurus is considered a smaller sauropod dinosaur, it was still between 15-20 meters long and weighed up to 20 tons (18,143 kilograms)! It had a small, square-shaped head and short round snout.

ALLOSAURUS is an extinct genus of large carnosaurian theropod dinosaur that lived 155 to 145 million years ago during the Late Jurassic period. The name "Allosaurus" means "different lizard", alluding to its unique concave (arched inwards) vertebrae. T. Rex adults were a significantly larger compared with allosaurus adults. An allosaurus adult was between 8.5 and 12m in length while the average T. Rex adult was about 12-15m long.

PARASAUROLOPHUS is a genus of hadrosaurid "duck-billed" dinosaur that lived in what is now western North America and possibly Asia during the Late Cretaceous period, about 76.973.5 million years ago. Its jaw held more than 1,000 tiny teeth. The purpose of the snorkel crest was used as a trumpet that could blow a b-flat sound to warn others in a herd.

One of the most famous pre-historic beasts the triceratops. TRICERATOPS had three horns on its face, and was a plant eater. These horns are thought to have been used for duelling, in a similar way to how stags duel with their antlers. The giant neck frill, meanwhile, was a source of protection. Triceratops was walking the earth when the dinosaurs were wiped out at around 65 million years ago.Triceratops was a big dinosaur, stretching up to nine metres in length thats slightly longer than a bus! It weighed in at six to eight tons, and had an enormous head.

The large nasal horns and frills of STYRACOSAURUS (Spiked Lizard) are among the most distinctive facial adornments of all dinosaurs. The Styracosaurus is a herbivorous ceratopsian dinosaur that lived in the Cretaceous Period. The bulky body of Styracosaurus resembled that of a rhinoceros. Known for its distinctive frill adorned with sharp spikes and a prominent nose horn, the Styracosaurus is often hailed as one of the most recognizable dinosaurs.

ANKYLOSAURUS is a genus of armored dinosaur. Its fossils have been found in geological formations dating to the very end of the Cretaceous Period, about 6866 million years ago, in western North America, making it among the last of the non-avian dinosaurs. With a quick whack of its clubbed tail, Ankylosaurus could likely shatter a T-Rex's bones, perhaps even killing the fearsome carnivore. Ankylosaurus was definitely a dinosaur that could kill a T-Rex. Several members of the ankylosaur group lacked the bony tail clubs seen in Ankylosaurus but were otherwise still covered in armour. These clubless ankylosaurs include Nodosaurus, Panoplosaurus and the British dinosaur Polacanthus.
