COUSANCES (NOW LE CREUSET) WAS A FRENCH COOKWARE MANUFACTURER, MAINLY ENAMELED CAST IRON. THE COUSANCES FOUNDRY, IN NORTH-EASTERN FRANCE IN THE TOWN OF COUSANCES-LES-FORGES, COMMENCED IN 1553 (UNTIL 1957). THEIR PRODUCTS HAD FEATURES WHICH DISTINGUISHED THEM FROM COMPETITORS LIKE LE CREUSET, DESCOWARE OF BELGIUM AND THE SCANDANAVIAN COPCO. COUSANCES WAS ACQUIRED BY LE CREUSET IN 1957. THIS POT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO CHIPS, CRACKS, RUST OR DISCOLOURATION. THE TOP MEASURES 29 X 22 CM AND THE HEIGHT IS 12 CM.
