An absolutely stunning Aynsley trio decorated with hand coloured floral wreaths and scrolling gold trim. This trio was produced between 1900 and 1920 by Aynsley for the huge retail outlet Maple and Co. in London. This exclusive department store was much like Harrods today, offering such excellent quality that it was a landmark of London and a tourist destination. (Their 1905 catalogue is viewable online.)
Both the Aynsley and Maple & Co. backstamps appear on each piece along with a painted number in red: a2153.
The trio is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.
