AYNSLEY ENGLAND BUTTERFLY FLORAL COTTAGE GARDEN DECORATED LIDDED URN VASE
A BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY AND FLORAL DECORATED LIDDED URN VASE BY AYNSLEY ENGLAND. IT HAS TWO HANDLES AND EMBOSSED STEMMED BASE. STAMMPED ON BASE COTTAGE GARDEN A PORTRAYAL OF AN ENGLISH COUNTRY COTTAGE GARDEN.
AYNSLEY LOGO: THE AYNSLEY LOGO ON THE BOTTOM HAS MADE IN ENGLAND ON IT. (AFTER 1891 ENGLAND WAS ADDED TO THE AYNSLEY MARK AND FROM THE 1920S ONWARDS MADE IN ENGLAND) THIS URN DATES FROM AROUND THE 1930S TO 1960S ACCORDING TO ONLINE SOURCES.
THIS VASE OR URN HAS SOME ENAMEL HAND PAINTED TOUCHES TO A TRANSFER PRINTED DESIGN. Before the 1930s, Aynsley China was entirely hand-painted. Starting in the 1930s, it was hand-finished over a transfer printed design like on our vase. In general, this is less desirable but still very much sought-after. In the 1970s, even the hand-finishing was abandoned. In general, this is the least desirable.

The 50th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's accession to the throne, all royal celebrations and memorial porcelains include Aynsley's works. In 2011, Prince William of England, the porcelain at the wedding was also designed by Aynsley.
ROYAL AYNSLEY (1775-2014): Aynsley is a 250 year old British porcelain company, and was founded in 1775 in Staffordshire England. In 1861 his grandson John built the historic Portland Works on Sutherland Road. The companys profitability made it a desirable acquisition. In 1970 John Aynsley and Sons was taken over by Waterford and renamed Aynsley China Ltd. In May 1997, Aynsley China was acquired by The Belleek Pottery Group in Ireland. The company closed its Stoke on Trent factory in September 2014. As of July 2015 the factory shop is still open but its future is uncertain as the site is being advertised as for sale. As one of the most important porcelain brands in the world today, collectors all over the world aim to own a piece of Aynsleys classical porcelain.
