BABY HANDS & FEET CASTING KIT

The kit contains everything that you will need to create your very own amazing castings except for the water required during the mixing process.

Each kit consists of the following items:

A bag of impression powder that will be used to create the mould.

A bag of casting powder to create the final product

A 500ml mixing container that also serves as the moulding container for small hands

Detailed instructions on how to create your own perfect cast

Each kit contains enough impression and casting powder to create a cast for a hand or foot for a child to the age of four. You may combine several kits to create casts of larger hands or feet or if you would like to create a family cast.

The material we use in our kits are of the highest quality and will ensure that you have a perfect replica of whatever your heart desires to create if you follow the instructions carefully.

Castings of hands and feet - how it's done

The procedure is quite simple and requires only a few moments of your time.A mould of the hand or foot is made by using a room temperature, completely safe, non-toxic impression compound. In less than 10 minutes the impression is taken.Once the mould has set and the hand or foot removed the mould is allowed to dry for an hour.The casting powder is mixed and poured into the mould where it must dry to become the final product. This normaly takes between 30 minutes and an hour.

The mould is carefully removed from the casting to reveal a perfect replica of the hand or foot. The casting is allowed to dry completely for another hour whereafter it may be painted if you so desire.

We can only provide you with the time it takes to create the cast. We are unfortunately unable to give you an estimate of the time that you will be spending admiring every detail of your cast from the fine skin impressions to comparing the overall appearance with the original hand or foot.
