What is a Premium SMS?
A Premium SMS is an SMS that a person sends from their phone to a short code (eg. 34008).
The message sent contains a unique keyword to identify the campaign.
The sender is charged a fee for that message eg. R2.00 for that message.
Usually, companies use this service to run different types of competitions.
SMS charges only R240.00(ex vat) per keyword per year.
Persons participating by sending the message will receive a confirmation SMS which can be customised.
(Advanced users can even use this to query databases and return the result to the sender).
The confirmation is included as part of the Premium SMS package.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
SMS company will pay this amount over within 3 months of the SMS being received. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to advertise to your potential clients that messages sent to this number at the BAND rate, should you not advertise this clearly, the Networks may refuse to pay this amount. We will then be unable to pay this to you.
Before a payout can be made, at least 50 messages per network per month must be sent. A payout must be requested by submitting an invoice to SMS Company every 3 months, the invoice must include SMS Company's vat number and your banking details must appear clearly. Please contact our call centre before invoicing us, so that we can confirm the amount.
All prices quoted include VAT.
Any misuse of the keyword such as misrepresenting this cost charged, will result in the service being suspended and any fines received will be charged to the customer involved.
