Back to Africa is the story of Ray Moore's quest to return three circus trained African elephants to the land of their birth in the Pilansberg Nature reserve. It began at Elephant Mountain, a farmyard of exotic animals in a snow-bound wildlife park in Washington State, belonging to circus trainer Morgan Berry. On Morgan's death, with the fate of the African trio uncertain, Randall decides to take the elephants back to Africa.
