SEEDS
HEIRLOOM
Grow your own Banana Legs Tomato, a unique heirloom variety known for its elongated, pale yellow fruits that resemble small bananas. This variety produces firm, meaty tomatoes with a mild, slightly sweet flavor and low acidity. Excellent for fresh eating, slicing, and especially sauces due to its dense texture and fewer seeds. Its high yields and distinctive appearance make it a standout in any garden.
Harvest in 7080 days.
EASY GROWFULL SUN
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
Planting:
Start seeds indoors 68 weeks before your last expected frost. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep in a well-draining seed-starting mix. Keep soil consistently moist and maintain temperatures between 7080°F (2127°C) for optimal germination.
Transplanting:
Transplant outdoors after all danger of frost has passed and nighttime temperatures remain above 50°F (10°C). Space plants 2436 inches apart in fertile, well-drained soil.
Sunlight:
Provide full sun, with at least 68 hours of direct sunlight daily for best growth and fruit production.
Watering:
Water deeply and regularly, keeping soil evenly moist but not saturated. Water at the base to help prevent disease.
Support:
Provide stakes or cages to support plants, as they produce abundant, elongated fruits that can weigh down branches.
Feeding:
Fertilize every 23 weeks with a balanced tomato fertilizer once plants begin flowering.
Harvesting:
Harvest when fruits turn a soft pale yellow and feel slightly firm with a bit of give. Regular picking encourages continued production.
A productive and eye-catching heirloom variety prized for its unique shape, color, and excellent culinary versatility.
