Each Movie DVD sold by myGems is refurbished as follows:
- Each DVD case is checked to be free from breakage
- Each DVD case is washed with Mr Muscle and Handy Andy
- Each DVD itself is wiped clean with a damp cloth
- Each DVD itself is 5-stage polished with a VERY expensive Azuradisc machine to remove all scratches
- Around 50 percent of the DVDs sold by myGems have a small 1 by 2 cm sticker with the movie's rental price. Removing this stubborn sticker WILL damage your neat and clean cover ... so I decided NOT to remove these stickers.
Each Movie DVD sold by myGems is guaranteed as follows:
- All movies are (South Africa) Region 2 and were bought from Ster Kinekor or Nu Metro
- There is no writing on the outside of the DVD case
- There is no writing on the DVD movie itself
- The movie is 95 percent guaranteed scratch free: Less than 5 percent of the movies have some minor shallow machine-created scratches.
The DVD's number used for rental purposes ARE left on the inside of the DVD case - since unfortunately it was written using permanent ink.
- A fortunate byproduct of the cleaning process is that your movie SMELLS nice.
