The DJ is pretty tatty, apat fom some small rubs to the edges of the cove the book itself is in good condition with no inscriptions. ( see pics below). Tucked inside the book id a letter/ compliment slip to a Sr. G Erasmus  from the Supeintendent of the hospital dated 19.9.1986. Please feel free to ask questions.

This history of Barberton hospital reflects the enthusiasm and dedication to the care of the sick shown by people of all walks of life. Starting as a service to the community by the community, this spiit of community involvment lives on in ou time.

I count myself privileged to stand as a leader of a team committed to the same spirit of involvment found amongst the early pioneers of Barberton who established the first crude tent Hospital. This team of doctors , nurses, administrative staff and Hospital Board membes have together created a Centenary program that does them proud. The final chapte of this book is a tibute to these men and women who have given themselves in the service of our hospital.

the past is a foreshadow of the futue, and this history is our tribute to those men and women who gave themselves in the service of medicine in the Lowveld. may their spiit of dedication continue to live within the walls of this, our oldest Hospital in the Transvaal."
