On offer another incredible painting- a stunning landscape by renowned South African Artist, Barbara Ploner.  The painting  is framed in a quality gilded frame.. It measures 120x74cm (with frame) and 100x55cm (painting only).  The painting is in excellent condition with no damage to report, the frame with a few small nicks, nothing serious but mentioned for accuracy sake. The weight before packaging is 6.5kg. 

Ploner was born in 1946 in Dundee and developed a deep love for Africa, it's landscapes and its people.  This is evident in her colourful interpretations of African people and her moody landscapes and seascapes.  She is a versatile artist working in both oils and acrylics.  

Her works have been exhibited extensively and grace both private and corporate collections in South Africa and internationally.  Selected Exhibitions: The South African Cardiff Arts, Culture and Decor Show (UK), The National Black Arts Festival (USA), The New York Art Expo (USA), The Madiba Restaurant (USA), The Antiquarius Gallery in Soho (USA).  

Ploner was one of a selected few South African artists invited to produce artworks for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, displayed at the draw in Cape Town (2009). These works have been recognized as Official Licensed Products of this event.
