WHY GOLD PLATED
Gold Plated jewellery is of a higher quality than that of Accessory jewellery (which looks and feels fake). It is also sometimes referred to as "Dipped Gold". In most cases, the base metal is also gold in color and is made up of almost the same mixture of metals (usually a brass alloy). The exterior of the product is solid 9ct gold and everything you can see or touch is a solid layer of 9ct gold. This is why (with proper care) it will never tarnish, chip or wear off. The gold layer on Gold Plated jewellery is approximately 7 times thicker than that of Accessory jewellery once bonded with heat and pressure.
