This is a small brass medallion about the size of a 10p which was produced by Barratt & Co. to celebrate the Coronation of 1911.  Says on it "Barratt & Co. - sweets are pure - British export". Has a picture of a crown on the one side and inside the crown is the bust of the king and queen on the other side. The other side has two globes showing both sides of the world and the words 'Barratt and Co Sweets Are Pure'. This token was given to the workers of the Barratt and Co Sweet factory, Mayes Road in Wood Green

Has lost most of its lustre but in very good overall condition with excellent detail. The medallions were issued to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII. The coronation took place at Westminster Abbey on 22 June 1911. The coronation was celebrated by the Festival of Empire in London.
