DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	A really masterfully executed depiction of a fox cornered by hounds during the fox hunt. The artist, BASIL NIGHTINGALE (1864 - 1940), is widely regarded as one of the best artists of scenes depicting the sporting activities of the British nobility and his works are on display in many art galleries throughout the world. The artwork on sale here is done in multimedia (predominently drawn in charcoal, but signed in Indian Ink and coloured in oil pastel). The artist signed the artwork, indicated his copyright and dated it 1927 at bottom right. The drawing measures 670 x 800 mm in the frame and the artwork alone (thus without frame) measures 440 x 580 mm. It is mounted, framed and protected by glass. You can see this lovely and very realistic artwork as it is sold in the image above. There are four more images and further particulars below. Please have a look at them and ask a question if there is anything you are unsure about.
CONDITION	This artwork has some overall browning of the paper (which can be seen on the images). The thin frame is quite extensively chipped and scuffed and it will probably be neccesary to reframe this work before hanging.
