A BATCH OF 3 SOUP BOWLS AND A LARGE COFFEE MUG IN GREEN ENAMEL WITH BLACK RIM EDGE TRIMS. THEY ARE WHAT IS CALLED SOUP BOWLS WITH SMALL ROLLED EDGE RIMS GIVING IT A LARGE BOWL AREA. THREE SMALL SIZES SOUP BOWLS 22,5CM DIAMETER 3,0CM HIGH AND ONE LARGE COFFEE CUG 11CM DIAMETER 9,5CM HIGH. IN GOOD CONDITION AS NEW.

WHAT IS ENAMELWARE?
Vitreous enamel was developed in Germany in the mid 19th century. A ground glass called frit is applied to metal then fired at temperatures hot enough to melt glass but not the metal. Minerals added to the frit produce color. The process has been used for advertising signage, medical equipment, kitchen appliances, bathtubs, cookware, dishware, basins, and pans. The term "enamelware" refers to enameled steel or cast iron.
 
WHY USE ENAMEL?
DURABLE: Apart from protection from rusting an enamel coating gets its durability as a consequence of firing the substance at high temperatures (about 850°C).
CLEANS EASY: It's smooth, glassy finish cleans easily and is resistant to acidic and alkaline chemicals.
ITS BEAUTIFUL: ENAMEL CAN BE COATED IN DIFFERENT COLORS THAT BECAUSE OF ITS SCRATCH RESISTANT COATING CAN LAST AND REMAIN COLOURFUL AFTER YEARS OF USE.
