Originally released in 1974 on the R&T label which was part of Satbel Records, Batsumi was a heady mix of jazz, tribal, world and ethnic influences that found favour worldwide with collectors. In 1978 Joburg Records reissued it on their J-Town label for a short period of time, this version is quite rare and not often seen. Condition: the vinyl has a scratch on Side 1 in the middle of the first track which clicks for a while and there are some light paper scuffs here and there. Overall the visual condition is VG. Soundwise it plays well with some crackle here and there which disappears once the rhythms kick in-i would grade this VG+ even with the click. The sleeve has some ring wear on the front but still looks impressive, the white back covers has marks and general scuffing so overall the sleeve grades as Good + to VG..
