The grip is built-in a vertical shutter release button, and can hold one EN-EL3e Lithium-ion battery packs, or six AA batteries with included battery holder. Additionally, it  features AE lock and AF lock button, main dial, sub-command dial, and a car charger adapter is offered for charging the battery through the grip DC jack.
