Battery spot welder

This is a hand built battery spot welder for welding the small plates that connect each cell to the next.

The timing of the length of the weld time can be adjusted from a fraction of a second up to two seconds. The lowest setting is enough for welding battery plates

THIS IS NOT A WELDER FOR SHEET METAL !

The welder uses ordinary (2 mm x 40 mm) pure copper nails to do the spot welding. These pure copper nails can be found at nearly any hardware store like Leroy Merlin hardware wholesaler.

In case the welder draws too much power and blows the fuse (10 Amp fuse min), it can easily be replaced at the rear of the box. This should not happen under normal use.
Caution should be taken as the unit uses high voltages and should not be opened.

The spot welder includes:
* The welder itself that is housed in an enclosed plastic box.
* Two welding cables with grips and welding tips
* 4 x 2 mm x 40 mm copper welding nail tips
* Foot pedal switch to activate the weld burst
