MADE IN AUSTRALIA BY LITHGOW MA IN 1942 FOR THE UNION oF SOUTH aFRICA.

PLEASE READ; The bayonet has been chromed & now most of the chrome has worn off or been removed. There are several markings on the bayonet.

A SMALL ARROW INSIDE THE HALF CIRCLE INDICATES IT IS FROM THE UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA THE 42 IS THE YEAR OF MANUFACTURE. THE X ON THE BLADE NEXT TO MA INDICATES THE BEND TEST WAS CONDUCTED.

Full bayonet length 550 mm blade only 425 mm scabbard 458mm

The condition of the bayonet apart from the chrome is good.Missing the belt frog. The scabbard has no tears or loose stitching.
