This is an original US Model M4 Bayonet and was made to for the M1 Carbine Rifle which was used mainly during WWII and the Korean War. The earlier models had leather grips but this is the later model with a hardened plastic grip. It has markings on the scabbard that reads US M8AI and also has the Solingen Weyersberg marking on the blade. Solingen is the town in which this blade was made in Germany and Weyersberg, Kirschbaum and Co is one of the oldest Military sword manufactures dating back to 1774. Please add R40 for postage.
