Delgado Black Mexican bean is a type of black bean that is commonly used in Mexican cuisine. It is also known as the Black Turtle bean or Frijol Negro in Spanish.
These beans have a dark, shiny exterior and a creamy, velvety texture when cooked. They are often used in soups, stews, and refried beans, and are a staple ingredient in dishes like chili con carne and huevos rancheros. Climbing bean. Grows on trellis, takes up little room and produce prolifically. Best used as a dry bean.
