Peridot is one of those beautiful gemstones that never fails to fascinate and attract. Interesting it is also one of the few gemstones that occurs in only one colour. The hue varies, from bright yellow green to deep brownish olive ... but it is always green! This piece of jewellery is English made and bears the hallmarks for the Birmingham assay office, as well as the UK mark for 9 carat gold (375). The main stone is a 0,75 carat natural oval faceted peridot. This is enhanced by 6 X 1 mm diamonds. It is a simple, no-fuss design with the peridot in the centre supported on either side with the diamonds set in strong vertical channels. For peace of mind, I had the ring checked and authenticated by a jeweller. This certificate will accompany the ring that will also come in the quality box used in the photograph.
