Beautiful large vintage hand-knotted Persian carpet

On auction is this beautiful vintage hand-knotted Persian caprpet in a Hamadan design. At 223cm x 153cm it is a large carpet which will make an excellent focus point in any room.

This is definitely not a new carpet and shows signs of appropriate age-related wear – very fashionable in the world of interior design! - but certainly not to such an extent that it detracts from the beauty of the rug. Well used, but clearly well looked after. It will give the new owner many years of proud use.

Somewhat dusty and in need of a good vacuum, but a fine and densely knotted piece. The tassles are in good condition. A wonderful piece which I, for one, will be proud to add to my personal collection.
