Very large vintage Moorish Moroccan kettle / teapot with flower decoration and traditional shaped spout. 'Moorish" refers to the influence of the Moors who settled in the Atlas Mountains in present-day Morocco. This type of teapot is called "berrad" in Morocco, a term that presumably comes from the central role played by the teapot in the tea preparation ceremonies in Morocco, where it is used to collect boiling water and infuse it with green tea leaves and mint leaves and then keep it warm during the ceremony. The kettle has a total height of 38 cm, a bowl diameter of 23 cm, and measures 35 cm from the spout point to the back. It weighs 1,8 kg.
