Beautiful Quarter hourly stricking wall clock

so... this clock was repaired or serviced by my father before he passed away 2 1/2 years ago. I have not touched it till now its about time to sell these clocks. I would it up and it ticked away and stricked when it was suppose to I presume although he never put the face back on but it did tick along nicely. So I took the hands off and put the face on and put the hands back on but now it only ticks for a short while and stops. Sooo I dont know what Ive done wrong. The clock still strikes when the min hand is turned to each quarter hour but it strikced a different time to whats on the clock so the hands will have to be adjusted. It is the correct pendle as this is the one that was in the clock. I'm sure to a person who knows clock this will be a no brainer but for me  its a whole other continent.

I have taken pictures of the movement before the dial I put back. It is visually a nice clock though
