VINTAGE MULTI-HUED BLUE SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CLUSTER 9CT YELLOW GOLD RING
52 x SAPPHIRES! * JEWELLER EVALUATION R18'000 *
This beautiful vintage piece has an unusual design; the rectangular ring head is concave, the shape accentuated by the placement of the 52 x round cut sapphires claw set in 9ct yellow gold. The centre of the head has 4 x single cut diamonds surrounded by 3 rows of sapphires building ever upwards, the colour of the sapphires lighter in the centre, moving to the darkest on the outside border. The shank is solid, somewhat narrower under the finger for comfort, thickening to support the 16mm wide x 13mm long ring head. The piece weighs a hefty 4,73 grams and bears a number of hallmarks: the 375 hallmark indicating 9ct gold, the Birmingham Assay mark, the jeweller's signature, the date 2004, and the 'Africa' hallmark indicating the diamond's origin. The ring comes with an independent jeweller Authentication and Valuation Certificate of R18'000. Really beautiful!
