A Beautiful Spode Floral Jug.
This is a beautiful Jug, unfortunately it has a hairline crack in the handle and a small hairline crack on the inside of the jug.
Even with these flaws, although I would not use this as a pouring jug, it would make a beautiful Vase and or Décor Piece.
Stamped "Spode England", with and Impressed number that reads K425. This item is a Spode Copeland painted floral jug. Spode is a legendary English pottery company established in Stoke-on-Trent by Josiah Spode in 1770.
While a precise date for this specific floral design isn't provided, Spode's factory has a long history of producing decorated earthenware and porcelain since the late 18th century. Similar hand-painted stoneware items from Spode were produced around c. 1935.
Made in England, 1930s.
Visible Flaws: Minor age-related wear. Flaws as listed above.
