THE CHESS BOX &  1 SET OF PIECES  ARE MADE OF WHAT APPEARS TO ME TO BE OLIVE WOOD. THE OTHER SET OF PIECES MAY BE EITHER SATIN WOOD OR LANCEWOOD. THE PIECES ARE BEAUTIFULLY CARVED AND ALL FELT BASED.  THE BOARD IS GLASS TOPPED WITH HARDWOOD FRAME & FELT COVERED BASE.THE BOARD MEASURES 500mm X 490 mm.                                                                                                                   THIS SET WAS A GIFT TO A MUCH LOVED FRIEND & PARTNER IN 1970, THE PRESENTATION PLAQUE REMAINS IN THE LID OF THE BOX.
