BEAUTIFUL SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND DOUBLE TIER 9CT YELLOW AND WHITE GOLD RING
This beautiful ringfeatures a particularly classic English jewellery design of an oval sapphire, framed by diamonds. The piece is 2-tiered, solidly crafted in 9ct yellow gold. The central gemstone is an oval-faceted deep blue sapphire of 0,62 carats, held 6 mm above the finger on extended 9ct gold claws creating the top tier. The bottom tier is a frame of ten single-cut diamonds with a total of 0,15 carats, also claw-set. The claws themselves are stylised and feature decorative openwork detailing, giving a modern, crown-like feel to the ring head. The shank is solid polished 9ct yellow gold, and on the shoulders of the piece are two leaf-like 'epaulettes' crafted in polished yellow gold, reaching onto the bottom tier. The ring head measures 9,2mm long x 8,4mm wide, and the piece weighs 2,33 grams. The pedigree is hallmarked 375 hallmark for 9ct gold, the Birmingham Assay mark. A classic collectable piece. I had the ring authenticated and valuated by an independent jeweller. Her certificate for insurance purposes of R14'000 will accompany the ring.
