Jacket condition: Covered in adhesive clear plastic. Clean and bright on outside; intact except for two or three tiny chips to outer adhesive wrapping, and light bumps to the lower corners--just bumped, not scuffed. A few air pockets between this layer and the jacket itself. Foxing on inside of jacket, with some adhesive tape residue, and a little dust trapped under the plastic wraps. Jacket not price-clipped.

Book condition: Corners bumped, but not scuffed or frayed. No other edgewear; boards otherwise still clean, bright and crisp: no fading or soiling apart from a few white specks from contact with inside of jacket. Gilt lettering on spine bright, crisp and intact. Edges of text block foxed. Faint foxing on one of the photographic plates, which are otherwise clean and bright, intact. Faint, limited foxing on p. 153. Tiny brown stain p. 50. A speck of foxing in lower margin of the last three pages each. These defects aside, the text block is clean: no inscriptions, no underlining or highlighting, no annotations or marginalia. The binding is intact, secure; text and photographic plates are complete: no loose, missing, or torn pages.
