This is a publication / book, not sure which I bought whilst I was serving in the South African Police. The publication (book) is 210mm wide and 296mm in length. The item in my opinion is in a great condition. The item is a brief resume of interesting events etc involving the South African Police between the years 1913 and 1983. The articles are in English and Afrikaans. The following are some of the incidents referred to: "The Official beginning, 1913, The Invasion of German South-West-Africa, 1915, Industrial strike, 1914, The Police Strike:2 November 1917, The War Years, 1939to 1945", Bram Fischer and the South African Police" but o mention a very few. The publication (book) comprises of 88 pages with numerous photographs of previous Ministers of Law and Order, and Commissioners, members and other photo's of interesting events. Below is a few examples of the photo,s reflected in the item.
