A really sweet trio by Bell China, one of the trade names used by Shore and Coggins Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent (which later used the Queen Anne trade name). The pattern is called “Meadowside” since each piece features a view of an English meadow with lovely spring flowers. Each piece is scalloped and the rims are painted green, as is the handle of the cup. The cake plate is in the square format popular during the Art Deco period, while the cup is narrower and higher than normal. The back stamp was in use from 1936 till 1966.
All three pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The cup measures about 7.8 cm across (excluding the handle) and is 7 cm high. The diameter of the saucer is about 13.8 cm and its height 2 cm. The cake plate measures about 15.1 cm across.
