Verpleeg-inspekteur Ella Rossouw (Magda Beukes) koester `n jarelange wrok teen matrone Ria Vermeulen, wie se twee dogters, Heleen (Elzette Maarschalk) en Christa (Elize Lizamore), as verpleegsters in die hospitaal werk. Christa is veral baie gewild onder die kankerpasinte met wie sy werk. Ella probeer om Ria te na te kom deur haar dogters te benadeel en Ria weens wangedrag aan die hospitaaldireksie te rapporteer.
